This Turner Ford MK3 has been in the ownership of Alasdair Young of Michigan since August 1979. Alastair aquired the car from Geoff Grimsley who had bought it from the recievers auction as a partially complete car which was originally LHD destined for US Export.
Following the closure of Turner Sports Cars in 1966 some cars were partially built and were completed at a later stage of which 66/660 was one such example.
The car was completed by Geoff Grimsley and road registered in 1967 as LAY 368E , It was Geoff's sole transport for the next 7 years.
Alasdair Young exported 66/660 to the USA when he emigrated in 1987 and until 2011 it had been in barn storage. Alasdair transported the car to the 2011 Ohio Turner reunion and motivated by the event is now planning a full restoration. [Update Aug 2011]
