Alan was buying and selling vintage racecars in Northern Virginia, just across the Potomac from Washington, D.C.from his company Automarque.Not much is known about the early history of this car but it is thought to have been raced and was a special order Sports Speciale model (RHD, and had the twin Webers, roll bar and a scatter shield) The original color was red
