Barry has owned this Turner since 1981 and has raced it extensively around the East coast, especially in the late '80s. He originally got the car listed with the VSCCA, and for about a year was the only Turner racing in the Northeast. As the car got better, more Turners appeared.
This car ran the 4 hour race at Sebring, and was raced by "Shorty" Miller in the early '60's with great success (It's the car on the '65 Turner sales poster). The car was sold in the late '60's to a Charles Pepe of Alpine,
N.J., who last had the car out in '73. Barry obtained the car in the spring of '81, restored it, and raced it for the first time in July '81.
