1st Owner--------Wilfred McDougall of Wolverhampton----1/8/53 to 5/4/55 although he advertised it in Autosport on 20/1/56

5th Owner---------Sid Diggory of Wrexham--------14/10/59 to Feb 1960

6th Owner---------Gerhard Krassner------------------Feb 1960 to2 March 1964 and rebodied by him to resemble a Le Mans car with regulation doors similar to a Lotus XI.  During this period it was raced by him and possibly by Diggory, who later raced an Aston Martin DBR1.

7th Owner---------Peter Hill----------------------------2 March 1960 to 2002.  During 1964 it was raced by Hill and Krassner, who then purchased an HWM-Jaguar.  From then was used by Hill as every day transport until 1968.  By now well known VSCC competitor Dr. Malcolm Brydson had acquired the original body from Gerhard Krassner to fit to a Riley Kestrel Sprite chassis.  However he decided to race Alvises and offered Hill the body in exchange for a collection of pre-war Norton Model 30 International parts.The body was refitted as shown in the photograph. Following sale in 2002 teh car was repainted red and raced in Ireland and the UK before being Sold by Silverstone Auctions in July 2015 for £81,000.

Suspension Independent all round with lower wishbones and upper transverse leaf springs.  Telescopic dampers. 8 ft wheelbase, 4 ft track.

Brakes Magnesium alloy brake drums 11 inches dia. with mag. alloy backplates.  Twin leading shoes all round hydraulically actuated by twin master cylinders split front and rear
Engine 1.5 litre sports racing Lea-Francis with twin high camshafts and twin SU carbs and Mag alloy sump.  Power 89 bhp @ 6000 rpm torque 94 lbf.ft at 3000 rpm on 80 octane fuel and compression ratio 8:1.  Engine no. SE 9177
Transmission 4-speed gearbox and ENV final drive
Wheels 16 inch dia mag alloy carrying 5.50x 16 Dunlop Racing R5 tyres.  15 inch pattern equipment also available
