Tim:
This scam has been extensively reported on the MG Digest & Spridget Digest during the last year.
They pay you for your car with a forged cashiers check in an amount greater than you agreed to for the car. You are asked to send the difference either back to the buyer or more often give it to the shipper. They ask that you give the car to the shipper who will send it out of the country.
When all settles, and it is discovered by your bank that the check is forged, you are out the car & the money.
Avoid these people like the plague.

Looks like we have a couple of "individuals" using the Turner Registry
web site as an opportunity to try and scam us out of our hard earned
cash. I have been contacted by two people wanting to buy my cars that I
have listed on the web site. They are very vague, use bad english and
are super secretive as to who they are and where they are. They are
more interested in you sending money to a shipper that doesn't really
exist, but has an address. Watch out for notes asking to buy your car
without any real knowledge of what a Turner is. If you got a similar
note let me know, I am curious as to how wideapread this has become.
