I have been looking into refurbishing the wire wheels of my Mk 3 as
part of a wholesale restoration. Easy I thought, just find a firm who
can do powdercoating or enamelling and away we go. In real life it's
not so easy. Powdercoating is expensive (I'm quoted £130 per wheel +
p&p). A Stove enamelling firm says that it is more economical to
buy new wheels than to refurbish old ones (that is before they see mine.
I would be very interested in the experience of other Turner owners.
