Recieved my "new" (look to be) drum brake front wheel hubs from Kip Motors in TX (www.kipmotor.com, 888-243-0440) for a very reasonable cost - $35 each. No one else withn the US seemed to be able to supply them. UK source was found, but just shipping alone would have exceeded Kip's cost.
I
also have installed offset bushings in the new a-arms (old ones were
rusted up good and I also slid on the bottom of the left one when my
wheel vacated the car).
Any spridget a-arm needs to be gound a
small amount on the bottom edge near the fulcrum pins to clear the
Turner tube frame before installation.
If you're thinking of doing
this, give me a call and I'll save you some time and dirt in the eyes -
I did mine after they were installed iinto the frame connector points.
Also
the frame or the lower a-arm trunnion pins needed modified to work with
the Turner connections points - no locking hole for the pins and washer
to go into and the hole for the pin in the Turner frame has to be
enlarged to 1/2 inch.
All are simple jobs but easier to do before hand with prioir knowledge than to do at time of final assembly.
Send me and e-mail if you need specifics.
PUT 690 shoul dbe on the road this weekend.
