Can anyone provide valuable insight or does anyone have any experience in doing this? Is it best to reuse the original handbrake or buy a new/different unit? Can the cable be reused if shorten or is there a better replacement cable?
It looks as if relocating the handbrake mechanism can be easily done (switch to right side of tunnel) by installing a new mounting bar and reattaching, but what am I missing?
I have just about completed installing the roll bar and safety harness/belts in my RHD 803 (30/065); and I am considering trying to relocate the emergency handbrake so that it can be reached easier if needed during events. It will be a long reach and maybe not possible if 5 point belts are too snug.
