Dear Ron,
Both myself (62' Mk11, Chassis 60/289) and Chris Horner (Mk1 Chassis, 60/292) both contend the UK HSCC Roadsports series. Both Chris and I run on Yokohama 'Advan' tyres which have proved to be the best road/race tyre for smaller cars, so much so that at least 90% of the other cars also run on them. In terms of pressure I don't think there are any 'fixed' rules, as each person usually has a preference to compliment their driving style i.e slight understeer etc., however, about 21psi allround should give you a good starting point, if on the road.
Hope this is of some use.
Best regards,
James

I would be interested to hear of members experiences with modern tyres
for Turners. I am particularly interested in the mk3 but any comments
are welcome. For instance which modern tyres have been found to suit
the Turner and which should be avoided? What tyre pressures are used?
