: I had a 1275 clutch put into my 1216 Climax with the MGA transmisson a couple of years ago. I talked with my mechanic (Bob Hawkins fax 780-437-2582) here in Edmonton Alberta Canada and from what he recalled he did not have to do anything to it. He did say there is approximately 1/4" difference in the depths of the release bearing between the 1098 and 1275.

flywheel needs redrilling but what happens to the release mechanism as
the depth of the clutches are different?
